From the founding of Tudor in 1926 to 2025, 99 years have passed. Just when we all thought Tudor clone would launch a major watch to celebrate its 100th anniversary in 2026, it actually launched the brand's first moon phase watch in nearly a century. At the same time, it invited Jay Chou to participate in the design and added it to the 1926 series, which is mainly aimed at the Asian market. It can be said that it was launched for our domestic market, and the importance attached to it is obvious.
The 39mm stainless steel case, forged from a single block of steel, along with the screw-down crown and case back, ensures water resistance to 100 meters. The entire dial, from the case to the bezel, is polished, while the dial features a sunburst finish, giving it a delicate sheen under light.
Tudor offers three dial colors: blue, black, and a champagne gold dial (a design inspired by Jay Chou). To achieve the best effect, Tudor has paired different colors for the hour markers, hands, and even details like the date window and moon phase display. The blue dial features silver hour markers and hands, the black dial features gold hands and hour markers, and the champagne gold dial features black hands and hour markers.
The hour markers alternate between faceted arrow-shaped applied hour markers and rounded even-numbered Arabic numerals, making the entire dial easy to read and evenly distributed without appearing too crowded. In addition, a beaded minute track is placed around the outer edge of the hour markers, adding to the overall refinement. The moon phase window below occupies a large portion of the dial, and is significantly larger and more eye-catching than typical moon phase watches. Most years have 12 full moons, with a lunar cycle of approximately 29.5 days. However, because calendars and natural rhythms are not perfectly synchronized, some years may have 13 full moons. Tudor's moon phase watches can accurately display 24-hour time while simultaneously measuring completely different lunar phase cycles. In addition, the date window at 3 o'clock is a pleasant surprise. While most date windows use a background the same color as the dial, effectively "hiding" the date within the dial, or some brands simply use black text on a white background, this one completely reverses the dial color scheme, making the date window stand out prominently on the dial – a truly unique look.
At 10.1 mm thick, it falls perfectly within the classic dress watch range. Combined with the fully polished case, it exudes elegance, showcasing a rarely seen side of Tudor watches. The screw-down crown is also adorned with the classic Tudor shield logo. The case back is closed when flipped, revealing the SW280-1 movement with a moon phase module sourced from the brand. While the lack of an in-house movement is a slight disappointment, its accuracy remains impeccable, achieving observatory-level precision. The movement boasts a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and a 38-hour power reserve https://www.twatchclone.ru/.
