TAG Heuer Aquaracer 300m Black Phantom Chronograph Review

The full black TAG Heuer Aquaracer 300m, nicknamed "Black Phantom", is partiularly interesting with its stealth look. The 43 mm case of the new TAG Heuer Aquaracer 300M Calibre 16 "Black Phantom" Chronograph is crafted from Grade 2 titanium with a sandblasted black titanium carbide coating.

The TAG Heuer Aquaracer clone black titanium carbide coated unidirectional turning bezel features a black ceramic insert with engraved, gray lacquered numerals. At 12 o'clock a Super-LumiNova treated dot. The screwdown crown and caseback, also coated with black titanium carbide, contribute to guarantee a water-resistance to 300 meters.

The anthracite dial is enriched by a horizontal streak patterns. The hour and minute hands, just like the markers, are polished and faceted with gray lume for visibility in poor light conditions. The chronograph 12-hour and 30-minute counters are positioned at 6 o'clock and 12 o'clock respectively with the small seconds at 9 o'clock. The anti-reflective sapphire crystal features a date magnification lens at 3 o'clock. The Calibre 16 automatic movement beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4 Hz) with a power reserve of about 42 hours.
